Tripoli Rocketry Certifications

At San Jose State Rocket Club we use Tripoli Rocketry for certification as well as launch site and safety. To sign up for Tripoli click here.

Level 1 Certifications as required by Tripoli require the rocket to be built by the flyer, use an impulse motor up to 640 Newton-seconds, and must be able to be launched again after recovery. For more information regarding Level 1 Certifications, please refer to Tripoli’s site on certifications.

Level 2 Certifications as required by Tripoli require the rocket to be built by the flyer, use an impulse motor between 640.01-5120.00 Newton-seconds, and must be able to be launched again after recovery. In addition, to the certification flight, a written test must be passed regarding technical information.
